ALPHA

ALPHA COURSE

Alpha @ Lane Park Church / 22 Lane Street.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is an 11 week* series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.

Each session looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation.
There’s no pressure, no follow-up and no charge; it’s just an open, informal,
and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.

*Plus one weekend (Saturday/Sunday) sessions: 12th – 13th of September

What’s involved at an ‘Alpha?

Food
An evening meal with others attending Alpha. It’s a great way to build community and get to know each other.

Talk (via video)
The talks are designed to be engaging and inspire conversation. Usually around 30 minutes long, they explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”

Discussion – following the talk
Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas about the talk without being corrected or judged. There’s no obligation to say anything; it’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective.

Join us for the series introduction on 26th Jul, 5:30pm.
